The defendant, William Jack DuPree, together with John Roach, was indicted in the criminal court of Cook County on a charge of armed robbery. They pleaded not guilty, waived a trial by jury and were tried by the court. Roach was found not guilty, but the defendant was found guilty, and was sentenced to imprisonment for not less than ten nor more than twenty years. On this writ...
