This is a workmen's compensation proceeding wherein benefits are sought for total permanent disability allegedly arising out of an accident which occurred on July 20, 1959, when plaintiff "was digging with a pick and struck a hard asphalt base in an iron box, thereby jolting his left arm * * *".
