Richard C. Symons, Jr., age 29, was injured on August 21, 1952, as a result of an accident while working within the course of his employment as a moulding machine operator for National Electric Products, Inc., at which he received a compound fracture of both legs, in the nature of a crushing type injury, which resulted in the amputation of both legs at points above each knee.
