A few minutes after nine o'clock in the morning of September 17, 1959, Grace Hartley, the plaintiff below, was a frontseat passenger in an automobile being driven by Guy Southwick on Missouri Highway 13. His southbound automobile collided with a northbound car being driven by Gene Mayberry, at a place about three miles south of Humansville. Southwick was killed and plaintiff sought $100,000 from his estate as damages for alleged personal injuries...
