These consolidated suits in admiralty arise out of a collision between the United States dredge ESSAYONS and the tanker NORTH DAKOTA in Ambrose Channel on January 26, 1959. Texaco, Inc., the owner and operator of the tank vessel NORTH DAKOTA, is a Delaware corporation with a place of business in New York City.
