Glen C. Hampton brought suit against Gulf, Colorado & Santa Fe Railway Company for damages under the Federal Employees' Liability Act. The basis of the suit was an injury alleged to have been sustained by plaintiff on April 20, 1960, while performing switching operations in the course of his employment with the defendant railway company. The case was tried before a jury and based upon the verdict, judgment was rendered for Hampton for $100,000...
