Plaintiff instituted this suit against the Rapides Parish School Board for the sum of $2,497.50, representing the balance alleged to be due under a contract entered into between plaintiff and defendant. Defendant answered admitting that it owes plaintiff $404.50 under the contract, which amount was tendered and deposited in the registry of the court, but denying that it is indebted to plaintiff for any additional sums.
