This is an appeal from a judgment of conviction of the defendant and from an order denying a new trial.

The District Attorney of Merced County filed an information by which defendant, Vernon Mack, and one Charles Arbuckle were accused of both branches of the crime of forgery, a violation of section 470 of the Penal Code.
