This proceeding was instituted as an action in jactitation. Defendant is alleged to have slandered plaintiff's title to a certain-described lot or parcel of land situated in the City of Minden by claiming the ownership of an undivided one-half interest therein. Damages allegedly resulting from said slander in the sum of $2,000.00 were sought. In the alternative, and in the event defendant should be decreed the owner of an interest in the property, plaintiff...
