Defendants Rufus L. Addison and his wife, Mrs. Eldred H. Addison, were the owners of a lot in the City of Hammond, Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, at the junction of U.S. Highways 190 and 51. The lot had a frontage of 100 feet on Highway 190 and a depth of 200 feet along U.S. Highway 51.
