The question in this case was whether appellant corporation was obligated to pay the balance allegedly due on a retainer fee.

At trial, Leon Ackerman, former president of the corporation, testified that he had engaged appellee as general counsel at an agreed salary of $500 a week and after six weeks had terminated his services because of "friction."
