James Hazel Britt was convicted by a jury and his punishment fixed at two years in the State Penitentiary on an indictment charging him with seducing under promise of marriage Thelma Dickerson, an unmarried female of previous chaste character. The lower court overruled a motion for a new trial and entered judgment on the verdict. We granted the defendant a writ of error.
