A jury returned a verdict of guilty against defendant for grand theft in violation of Penal Code section 487, subdivision 1. A prior conviction of grand theft was alleged in the information and the jury found the prior conviction as alleged was true. Defendant appeared in propria persona. Probation was denied and defendant was sentenced to state prison for the term prescribed by law. Defendant's motion for a new trial was also denied. Defendant appeals...
