After trial by the court sitting without a jury, defendant was convicted of possession of heroin. He appeals from the judgment.

Within a few days before defendant's arrest, several armed robberies of drug stores and bars had been committed in the early morning hours in the general neighborhood of Valencia and Market Streets in San Francisco.
