Defendant, Gordon Foster, was indicted and tried in the Circuit Court of Madison County for a violation of paragraph 155 of Chapter 38 of the Illinois Revised Statutes of 1959, which provides, "No person shall carry concealed on or about his person a pistol, revolver or other firearm ..." The case was heard before a jury and the defendant was found guilty and sentenced to pay a fine of $300 and to imprisonment...
