Pursuant to sec. 84.09, Stats. 1957, on April 25, 1958, the Winnebago County Highway Committee made an award of compensation for taking appellant's land for highway purposes. Sec. 84.09 (2), Stats. 1957, gave appellant the right within two years to apply to the county judge for him to appraise the value of the land so taken.
