Appellee, Victor Raney, recovered a jury verdict (and judgment) against appellant Louis Thomas, in the amount of $2,019.10. This amount was double the value (pursuant to Ark.Stats. § 41-510) of farm implements, trees, and a barn which were destroyed by a fire originating on appellant's adjoining farm.
