On a dark, dry evening the appellee, Gerald H. Mullenix (plaintiff below), was operating his motorcycle behind two automobiles proceeding south at about 15 miles per hour on Virginia Avenue, a 2-lane highway, near Hagerstown, approaching an intersection with Decker Avenue.
