This trust arises under the handwritten will and codicil of Robert R. Phillips, who died April 14, 1896, whereby he gave his entire estate to his trustee, in trust, to "pay the net income thereof half yearly, share and share alike, to my three daughters, Mary, Elizabeth, and Jane, or the survivors of them during their lives, or the life of the survivor of them, and upon the death of the last surviving daughter...
