SPRATLEY, Justice.

This appeal presents a question which has troubled the courts for many years. We are called upon to determine a controversy over the custody of a child, a boy now between 11 and 12 years of age, between the appellant, the widow of his deceased father, and the appellee, his mother. The trial court, after hearing the evidence ore tenus, awarded the custody of the child to his mother. His stepmother, Jean A. Jones, asks us to reverse the award...
