On July 25, 1959, libelant and cross respondent, American Steamship Company, a New York corporation, was and is now the owner of the steamer Dow Chemical, a self-unloading bulk carrier of 6612 gross tons with a keel length of 504 feet and overall length of 525 feet, a beam of 56 feet and a molded depth of 30 feet.
