Leo E. Cloutier, Administrator c. t. a. of the Estate of Irma P. Cloutier, deceased, filed an action against Virginia Gas Distribution Corporation to recover damages for the alleged wrongful death of Irma P. Cloutier. A jury trial in the court below resulted in a verdict in favor of the plaintiff for $25,000. This verdict was set aside by the trial judge, on the motion of the defendant, on the grounds that the verdict was contrary to the law and...
