FRUGE, Judge.

Plaintiff and defendant entered into a written contract wherein the former obligated itself to drill for the latter a test well in search of oil or gas on property near the City of Alexandria known as the Lodi Plantation. Pursuant to the contract the well was drilled to a depth of approximately 325 feet at which point the well had to be abandoned for the reason that its casing had come apart about 150 feet from the surface.
