Defendant was found guilty of the crime of arson, in violation of Penal Code § 447a1 and, on June 17, 1954, was sentenced to State Prison for the term prescribed by law. An appeal taken by defendant from this judgment was dismissed on December 27, 1954, pursuant to rule 17(a) and rule 30, Rules on Appeal, no appellant's brief having been filed.
