Claimant was the operator of a tractortrailer combination being driven easterly on State Highway Route No. 17, about 6.1 miles west of Addison, New York, on December 18, 1957, at approximately 6:00 A.M., when the tractortrailer went out of control, collided with some guardrails and burned.
