The appellant's complaint alleged that on November 21, 1956 in the District of Columbia1 she was injured when struck by an automobile said to have been negligently operated by one Roger L. Van Handenhove. The latter at that time was a Corporal in the military forces of the Kingdom of Belgium, serving here as a clerk in the office of the military attache with the Belgian Embassy.
