Plaintiff commenced this action to recover damages in the sum of $100,644.20 for alleged negligence of defendant. Issue was joined by defendant's general denial and a plea of contributory negligence.

The action stems from events having to do with the award of a contract for the construction of a new County Court House at Montevideo, Minnesota. Bids were called for by the Board of County Commissioners of Chippewa County, in said state...
