Beatrice Johnston Baker, hereinafter referred to as the wife, instituted a proceeding in the Superior Court of Richmond County, Georgia, against Oscar H. Baker, hereinafter referred to as the husband, to set aside a decree of divorce. She contended that the decree was void for lack of jurisdiction since she was a nonresident and service had not been perfected upon her.
