The petitioner, a resident of Massachusetts, and a senior airlines pilot for Northeast Airlines who had flown approximately 10,800 hours and who had held an Airline Transport Rating for 10 years, was the pilot in command of a Northeast Airlines DC-3A scheduled to fly on November 30, 1954, from New York to Boston as Flight 656, and, after a layover of about half an hour in Boston, on to Concord, Laconia and Berlin, New Hampshire, as Flight 792...
