The defendant was charged with the offense of driving a motor vehicle upon a public highway, a street in the city of Kankakee, on June 8, 1958, without a valid operator's license and at a time when such license had been revoked by the Secretary of State as a result of his conviction in the county court of Kankakee County for driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating...
