This is an action for damages for personal injuries. Plaintiff recovered a verdict and judgment. Defendant has appealed.

Plaintiff's evidence shows that on February 1, 1957, at about 8:00 p. m. she fell on the public sidewalk on the north side of 48th Street between Jefferson and Summit Streets, in Kansas City, Missouri.
