This is an action of tort for negligence in which the plaintiff seeks to recover damages for personal injuries sustained by him as the result of a fall because of the presence of a foreign substance on the floor of a ramp in the building numbered 130 Newmarket Square, Roxbury, alleged to be owned and in the control of the defendant.
