This suit involves the demand of plaintiff, a man 61 years of age, for $26,139.65, for personal injuries and attendant expenses, allegedly sustained as a result of an accident which happened at 5 o'clock in the afternoon on November 24, 1957, at the intersection of Airline Highway (U.
