A petition for annexation of a certain area of Barry Township by and to Butler Township was signed by 172 freeholders, which constituted about 2/3 of the freeholders concerned, of Barry Township. On April 5, 1958, the Supervisors of Butler Township passed an ordinance approving this petition for annexation of that portion of Barry Township.
