This is an action by a seaman to recover money damages under the Jones Act (46 U.S.C.A. § 688) and for the breach by the defendant shipowner of a warranty of seaworthiness. The injury is alleged to have occurred aboard the S.S. Thomas Nelson on February 24, 1959, while that vessel was transiting the Manchester (England) canal.
