Janko, was found guilty by a jury on each of 3 counts of an indictment charging him with violations of § 7201 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, 26 U.S. C.A. § 7201.1 The first count charged the defendant with a willful and knowing attempt to evade and defeat a large part of his federal income tax for the calendar year 1954.
