In 1959 the plaintiff-appellant purchased 20 shares of common stock in the defendant-appellee company (a Virginia corporation). He then instituted a class action against the corporation and its officers and directors. Appellant alleged that voting trustees for the common shareholders had illegally transferred the voting rights of the common shareholders to the preferred shareholders, that the present directors had been invalidly elected...
