This appeal results from an order of the trial court modifying the custody provision of a divorce decree.

The plaintiff father and defendant mother were each awarded a decree of divorce on November 28, 1955, in the Superior Court of King county. The legal custody of their one child, Raymond, born on September 22, 1952, was granted to both parties. The decree provided, however, that the physical custody of the child be awarded to the maternal grandmother...
