This is an appeal from a judgment of conviction and sentence for violation of 18 U.S.C.A. § 1001 prohibiting knowingly and willfully falsifying, concealing or covering up "by any trick, scheme, or device a material fact" in a "matter within the jurisdiction of [a] department or agency of the United States", and of 18 U.S.C.A. § 1005 which prohibits an officer, director, agent or employee of a federally insured bank "without authority...
