This is an appeal in forma pauperis from an order of the District Court dated June 9, 1959, denying what the appellant calls a "Petition for an Extraordinary Writ of Habeas Corpus," but which is to be regarded as a motion under 28 U.S. C. § 2255 to vacate the sentence of eight years imprisonment which was imposed on February 11, 1957, based upon the verdict of a jury finding him guilty of voluntary manslaughter and assault with a dangerous weapon...
