The appellant, who was the plaintiff below, sued Abraham Linch, doing business as Angler's Hotel, for injuries she received when she fell to the ground upon leaving the hotel by a rear entrance. Her amended complaint contained the following allegations:

"That heretofore, to-wit: on or about the 3rd day of November, 1958, the plaintiff was a guest of a tenant residing at the Angler's Hotel...
