The appellant, as plaintiff in the lower court, filed a complaint against the appellee-defendant for back wages and other expenses which were incurred as a result of the alleged wrongful refusal of the defendant's ship captain to reinstate the plaintiff to his position as oiler aboard defendant's ship.
