The plaintiff, Mike Frank was robbed of $10,000 in front of his tavern in Decatur, Illinois, on the 20th of August 1953, by one Leonard Voss. Frank had obtained the money from the Millikin National Bank a short time before the robbery, intending to use it for cashing checks. The money consisting of $7500 in $20 bills, $430 in $10 bills, $1505 in $5 bills...
