Humble Oil and Refining Company owned a lease upon 1,261.15 acres of land in Marion County which it acquired from the Whelan heirs. The lease was dated December 10, 1945. On December 7, 1955, Humble executed a farm-out agreement to convey the lease to Bobby Manziel, less an override.
