On August 22, 1956, appellee, Nancy Royce Todd, filed a bill against appellant, Frederick S. Todd, charging him with cruelty and constructive desertion as of August 15, 1956. Summarized, her allegations are that her husband was abusive, unjustifiably had a lunacy warrant issued against her, falsely accused her of criminal offenses, and failed to provide a proper home for her and their two children, though amply able to do so.
