ELLIS, Judge.

Defendant has appealed from the judgment of the district court awarding plaintiff the maximum rate of compensation per week from February 17, 1957, for a period not to exceed 300 weeks, under LSA-R.S. 23:1221(1) which provides: "For injury producing temporary total disability to do work of any reasonable character, sixty-five per cent of the wages during the period of disability not beyond three hundred weeks."
