Mr. Lord sought damages because of personal injuries incurred as we shall describe, and Mrs. Lord sued for loss of consortium. The District Judge directed a verdict for the landlord, Lencshire House, Ltd. He deemed himself "required to rule as a matter of law that Mr. Lord was a licensee * * * and that there is no evidence of negligence...
