The complaint in this action was filed by the Kentucky Home Mutual Life Insurance Company against the United States on March 5, 1957, seeking to recover $18,803.99, with interest from July 19, 1955, the amount of income tax alleged by plaintiff to have been erroneously assessed and collected for the calendar year 1952.
