This is an appeal from a judgment on a jury verdict awarding damages to the plaintiffs (hereinafter referred to in the singular). The action arose from a rear-end automobile collision at approximately 2:30 o'clock on the afternoon of April 3, 1957, on state highway No. 99, about four miles north of Tacoma.
