SMITH, J.

Plaintiff was injured in an automobile accident. Defendant admitted his negligence and plaintiff's freedom from contributory negligence but contested, as excessive, plaintiff's damage claim of $25,000. The case having gone to a jury on the question of damages, a verdict was returned in the sum of $1,500. A motion for a new trial was made on the grounds that the verdict was grossly inadequate, and that it was contrary to the great weight of the evidence....
